I'm in the throes of an autumn cold. Sinus congestion, coughing, headachy, etc. Yuck. A couple of weeks ago, I had a little visitor for 5 days. She's 4 months old now. Look at us:
I've been a bit overwhelmed with work lately, but I like raking in the cash. I work for various agencies so it's fun to get a check from one of them every few days.
I'm still trying to decide which of the new fall TV shows I like. I'm not thrilled with any of the new sitcoms, but I'm giving them a chance.
We removed the old wallpaper from our bedroom and bathroom and gave them a shiny new paint job and crown moulding. We're not crazy about the bathroom color so we may re-paint it the same color as the bedroom.
Our next trip will be in February.....drum roll please....
We're going to Machu Pichu and the Galapagos Islands. I've been wanting to go there for a long time and I'm so excited. I had to find a new house and cat sitter and I found the 24-year old daughter of a long-time acquaintance. She recently broke up with her live-in boyfriend and moved back home so I'm sure she wants to get out of her parents' house for a couple of weeks.
ETA: I'm going to Bill Clinton's "A Decade of Difference" concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night. It supports his Clinton Foundation. The stated mission of the Clinton Foundation is to "strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence." The most expensive tickets are $25,000 a couple for both the Hollywood Bowl event and Clinton's 65th birthday party on Friday night. Performers include Lady Gaga, Bono and the Edge, Usher, Kenny Chesney and perhaps some other special guests. Chelsea Clinton is the honorary chairperson, so I suppose that Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea will be there, too. I'm bringing my binoculars so I can spot all the celebs in the audience.
Let's keep blogging!
