I'm a Survivor

Soooo, what do you think of the new season of Survivor?

*exasperated sigh*

When are these female contestants going to learn not to wear a dress, especially a strapless dress? What are they going to do for the swim challenges? I sure hope she was wearing a strapless bra, but they sure don't give much support. I'm not exactly fond of seeing men and women prance around in their underwear for an entire season.

ETA: After watching part 2 on my DVR, I see that a couple of the girls are wearing the men's underwear as shorts!

Speaking of bras and support, I had a yearly screening mammogram yesterday. They found a couple of cysts so I needed a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. They needed an OK from my OB/GYN, who in turn needed a written report.

So the Imaging place wasn't going to do the diagnostic work. Right, just tell me that I have a couple of cysts and send me home. I asked if they would do the work if I requested it and they said no. It's all a matter of insurance. *shakes head* I called my doctor on my cell phone. They said the Imaging place could fax over an informal report.

I waited and waited and waited. I read about 4 magazines while I waited. They finally exchanged faxes and completed the diagnostic mammogram and the ultrasound. They came back and did another ultrasound. Then the Radiologist came in and did another ultrasound, herself.

My life passed before my eyes. It actually was my future life, preparing for my untimely death and funeral.

She said I had "busy breasts," and that the cysts were ok, just cysts. They don't aspirate them anymore. A cyst is liquidy and a tumor is hard. So she told me to relax and go home. Well, by that time it was rush hour and it was not a relaxing ride home. But I was happy with the result.

Politics, Penguins, Panda and Polar bears

I haven't been this interested in politics in about a zillion years. I'm also getting tired of All Politics All The Time on the news.

I'm excited about getting my good reality shows back this fall. I keep checking the DVR to see how far in advance I can record a show, to get ready for all the new series.

I thought I had posted this picture before, but I couldn't find it in my "archives." Here is Cleo, enjoying the Penguins on TV.

I bought one of those birthday cards with music in them. The card had a group of cats "meowing" to the tune of "Happy Birthday." Cleo perked up her ears and came over curiously to sniff around each time I played the card.

We went to the San Diego Zoo on Wednesday. My favorites were the panda bears and the polar bears.

Here's two pandas; a mommy and her baby.

Here's a polar bear enjoying a swim right smack dab next to me!

We also saw a litter of meerkats. One was named Tripod because it only had 3 legs. Zoos are fun!
