Julie and Julia
I saw "Julie and Julia," so I decided to update. Julie's blogging put me in the mood to blog even though I don't have much to say. We enjoyed the movie a lot. We also saw "Inglorious Basterds," which was good, too. Brad Pitt gave an excellent performance, but the movie was pretty bloody.
A few nights ago, I saw what looked like a dog driving a jeep. Nobody was in the jeep with him. As I pulled alongside the jeep, I realized that it was being towed. Two people were in the car, towing a jeep with 2 dogs in the jeep's passenger's and driver's seats. Too funny. Everytime I glanced over into the other lane, I laughed and laughed.
Conan O'Brien had a segment called "puppies dressed as cats." It was hilarious, but I felt sorry for those little puppies, trying to shake off their kitten outfits.
Letterman had a segment called, "men and their vegetables." Men sent in photos of themselves with outrageous-sized home-grown vegetables, like cabbages, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
There's fires in Southern California, but none that are threatening us, for a change. The closest one is about 25-30 minutes/miles away. But the air is bad and the smokey sky is ominous. Luckily, there's no wind, so hopefully they can be put out before they spread to homes.
