Hail Hail!

I wish it was "Hail hail, the gang's all here." However, I'm talking about the weather. We had some hail yesterday. I so wish that it would snow. We're this far away from snow every year.

All this rain is delaying the installation of our new gate. They can't pour the concrete for the posts until it stops raining. But the rain didn't stop our new lights! Yay! New recessed (can, high hat) lights have been installed in our family room and kitchen. Unfortunately, all the old holes are still there, too. What a difference! The new lighting pattern takes some getting used to, but I think it's a good change. Time to upgrade the old homestead.

Funny story on the Today show: Two men flew from Ft. Lauderdale to Dallas. Their luggage got exchanged. Man #1 opened up his luggage at home in Dallas and saw the wrong clothes. Then a cat popped out of the suitcase! He found the rightful owner, Man #2, who didn't even know that the cat had stowed away in his suitcase!. Man #2's wife had been searching the house for her cat all day long!

I can see that happening. Here's Cleo in our suitcase:

Is it January yet?

This is an official update. Let's see, what's going on?

1. We saw a musical play about the life of Danny Kaye. Married to the woman who shaped his career, wrote most of his songs and material, and was his business manager, Danny had an affair with Eve Arden and a 10-year affair with Lawrence Olivier.
2. We went out to dinner with 4 other couples last night. We're all celebrating our anniversaries at the same time. It's a yearly event! We call it the "Anniversary Club."
3. We're in the process of deciding what to do to bring our home into the 21st century. So far, we're putting in recessed lighting in the family room and kitchen, and getting a big HD LCD TV, with a new speaker system, installed in the ceiling.
4. We've been looking at homes for sale to get ideas on remodeling. Today we saw a home and guess what! A 2005 BMW Z4 convertible with 18,000 miles, valued at $30,000 was included if you finish escrow by Feb. 19!
5. We're getting ready for our next big vacation! Any guesses on "Where in the world is Puffy going?"
6. Here is a math problem so unbelievable that it will stump you . Grab a calculator. (You won't be able to do this one in your head). Press the "equals" button after each calculation.
A. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the Areacode)
B. Multiply by 80.
C. Add 1.
D. Multiply by 250.
E. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number.
F. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
G. Subtract 250.
H. Divide number by 2
Do you recognize the answer ??
