All You Need Is Love

We saw the Cirque de Soleil's "Love" show in Las Vegas. It was one of the best live shows we've ever seen. We were mesmerized for a full 90 minutes.

We had a newly-renovated room at the MGM Grand. It was in the "West Wing." Everything was ultra-modern and art-deco. The light and the TV in the bathroom area were imbedded in the mirror. The light is the verticl white thing; the TV is the square dark thing; the shower door has the towel hanging on it. See the frosted glass for the shower? The toilet area was right next to it, also enclosed by frosted glass. I did not like that.

Here are a couple of pictures of the fountains at the Bellagio hotel. The first picture is in front of the Bellagio. The second picture shows the Paris hotel behind the fountains.

Here's the beautiful ceiling in the lobby of the Bellagio.

I saw a TV commerical with the setting at a high school reunion. This was the year that *I* graduated high school. It was an ad for bladder control medication.

We got a new front door and sidelight for our house. It's beautiful, but it doesn't give as much privacy as I'd like. It was rated an '8' out of '10' in privacy, but I'd give it a '2.'

My local newspaper had a story about a teacher who received a grant for a special project. The first picture you see is the picture published with the story. The second picture is the correction; the actual picture of the teacher. I found this to be hysterical!

P.S. If there is one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your blog.

Duck, Duck, Goose

Why did the geese cross the road?

To get to a lake on the other side.

We live in a town with "planned" communities. Two new neighborhoods have man-made lakes. A flock of Canadian geese and a few ducks waddle across the 10-lane road a few times a day to get from one lake to another. The birds commute every day at feeding time from a tiny pond on the north side of the street to the small lake on the other side of the street. Since birds of a feather flock together, they don't cross the stret alone. They quack their way aross the street in groups of about 10, ignoring the honking cars. Nuff said

The new principal at a local high school is none other than Mr. Hamburger. That's almost as bad as Mr. Woodcock.

I (half-jokingly) told DH that I was thinking of getting liposuction. He replied, "well, we're all done working on the house for a while, so OK." Gasp!

Then I said, "Let's try this again. Pretend I said, 'do I look fat in these pants.' How would you reply? " He says, "Now I got it!"

OK, I'm thinking of getting liposuction. His reply: "That sucks."
